Pi Day!
The Xaverian Math Department celebrated Pi Day for the first time on March 14th 2006. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pi or want to know more, this is a good place to start your journey! Pi is a mathematical constant that represents the quotient of the circumference of all circles to its diameter. An approximation of Pi is 3.14 (which is why we celebrate on March 14th of course!!) but Pi is an irrational number that never repeats nor terminates. Pi has fascinated mathematicians and students for thousands of years.
